Cynthia Louise Bissett was the Vice President of Verizon's mobile network. Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. is her father, director of a company on the internet and businessman. In a Catholic home her family was raised in Manhattan's Upper East Side. The parents of her were enrolled in the Convent of the Sacred Heart which is a prestigious religious institution. She was very fond of music as a child she learned to play the piano and at the age of thirteen, she wrote her first song. She was a part of the open mic nights. She was a huge fan of Queen Michael Jackson, Madonna and David Bowie. A graduate of New York University, Tisch School of Art she began learning to sing after graduating from high school. But, she didn't finish her degree. Instead, she started the career path of a musician.
